Our Stain Resistant Velvet Range is proving very popular indeed.
The fabric is water and stain resistant. Unlike the Pure Cotton Velvet which leaves water stains and bruises, the Stain Resistant Velvet does not bruise - you can even run your nail through it and it will not leave a mark. The fabric is 100% polyester which is why it is so practical but it does have the look and feel of cotton velvet. It has a very high Martindale rub test of 100,000 and you can even wash the seat cushions covers in the washing machine at 40%. The Stain Resistant Velvet really is perfect for families with children and pets, who want that luxurious look while remaining practical.
The Stain Resistant Linen is a very high quality Italian fabric which has been months in the making in order to perfect.
Made up of natural yarns, Linen, Cotton, Viscose and Nylon (to create a more robust fabric).
The Stain Resistant Linen does not crease, is suitable for heavy domestic use and has an excellent mill dipped, water based, Stain-guard (like Scotch-guard) which makes the fabric water and stain resistant.
We have an excellent colour palette as standard and we have more colours available as Bespoke on request.
The Stain Resistant Linen can be washed in the washing machine at a low temperature. We do however prefer dry cleaning as this prevents any shrinkage, colour fade and saves a lot of time with an iron!
Our House Mix fabric is a mixed weave which is great for wear and durability as it doesn't show staining as much as a plain fabric.
The House Mix has a very homely/cosy feel and tailors beautifully on our sofas, beds and sofa beds. The House Mix is made from 48% Viscose (which is a natural fibre), 24% Polyester (gives strength and durability to the fabric), 20% Cotton and 8% Linen. This is a great combination as it makes for a soft and durable fabric. The House Mix is also very hard wearing as it has a rub test of 40,000. This fabric is dry clean only.
Our Velvet is a very high quality British Velvet, rare but true. The Velvet pile is 3mm and is soft and luxurious to the touch with a satin matte finish.
The velvet we use is 100% cotton and is dry clean only with a rub test of 40,000. Our velvet looks incredible on our sofas, however, as with all pure cotton velvets there are some draw backs as it does mark and stain easily. If you have children or pets it may be worth going for our stain resistant velvet range, this may not look quite as luxurious as the pure cotton velvet but it will stay looking better for longer. Our pure cotton velvet is best suited for our bed range and for people who are able to really take care of their sofas.
Mohair is making a big comeback and there is a reason for it - it is one of the most beautiful, durable and resilient fabrics on the market. Its ability to take dye exceptionally well ensures there are no limits with colour - and we at Love Your Home embrace colour in interiors.
We have designed our own exclusive Mohair fabric - woven from 70% Mohair with 30% Viscose. Today Mohair Velvet is considered one of the most eco-friendly fabrics due to its sustainability and this is just another reason why we, at Love Your Home are celebrating the brilliance of Mohair.
We only have two colour options in our House Fabric range – House Grey and House Charcoal, but this does not stop it from being one of our most popular fabric ranges.
The House Fabric is 100% man made which means that it is incredibly hard wearing (with a Martindale rub test of 80,000) and also has a built in stain guard making it stain resistant like our popular stain resistant velvet and stain resistant linen. It is also easy to clean as you can wash your covers in this fabric at 40 degrees. It tailors very well and when upholstered gives an appearance of wool. On top of this it is our best value for money. The House Grey looks particularly good on our bed range.
This beautiful new fabric is milled in Belgium and is available in 4 colour ways. Its composition is 25% cotton, 35% viscose, 17% wool, 18% acrylic and 5% PE. It has a Martindale rub test result of 25,000 rubs and is dry clean only.
Our House Linen Cotton has a charming classic feel. It is made up of 37% viscose (a natural fibre,) 21% cotton, 24% polyester (which gives strength and durability to the fabric) and 18% linen.
The fabric has a lovely light sheen and looks particularly good on our more classic design such as the Chesterfields. The small weave on the House Linen Cotton means that it is very hard wearing and it has a 30,000 Martindale rub test. With regard to cleaning, stains can be removed with warm soapy water and sponged. Removable covers will need to be dry-cleaned and should not be put in the washing machine. We are unable to put the whole range on the site so please contact us with your colour requirements if you have something particular in mind.
This beautiful heavy weight linen is milled in Belgium by a family run linen mill. Linen has a unique combination of properties; lasting durability, unrivalled comfort and rich colour absorption. The more it is used, the more beautifully it ages and gets a unique patina. It is highly absorbent, lint-free and non allergenic. Linen starts life as flax, which is inherently ecological as it requires no irrigation and very little chemical treatment. Flax is biodegradable and is now commonly recycled. No other fibre can offer this unique blend of a truly natural product, with elegance and amazing comfort. Our pure stain resistant linen is made of 100% linen and the yarn is treated with a stain repellent finish making it family friendly. Liquid substances will bead on the surface. Martindale rub test – 30,000. Light Fastness – 6/7 This is a pigment dyed fabric, therefore is one of the best with regards to minimal fading. Care – Spot clean with warm water, dry clean only, warm iron. If washed the stain resistant finish may start to degrade and the linen may shrink. Gently vacuum to freshen.
Our House Cotton range is of very high quality, 100% pure, heavy weight cotton that offers a great range of colours and value for money.
The House Cotton tailors well on our Sofas, Beds and Sofa Beds and offers a clean unfussy look and has 40,000 Martindale Rub Test. This rub test checks fabrics for their durability and suitability by testing for abrasion only - test results are given as a score of 1000's of rubs or cycles, and the higher the number, the more suitable the fabric is for heavier use! (Heavy duty fabrics = 25,000 to 30,000 rubs and commercial trade fabrics = 30,000 rubs and over) All our fabrics have a rub test of over 40,000 and so are incredibly hard wearing, ensuring that your sofa looks at its best for as long as possible!
The House Cotton can also be cleaned in the washing machine on a 30 degree wash cycle. For our upholstered beds and fixed sofa covers, you can sponge down with warm soapy water (do not rub as this will brush the cotton and elongate the fibres). You can also use the services of your local carpet /upholstery cleaning company to wash the fixed covers when required.
