Woodchips everywhere...
There are huge blue doors. Woodchips everywhere. Constant music, tea and cake.
Outside the Polish countryside is rolling in a way only the Polish countryside can - a sublime series of natural forms and lush living. You can tell the master craftspeople within the workshop carry some of the spirit of the undulating hills into the furniture, into the curves of an arm and a back.
They are the best in Europe in our opinion … and we've toured Europe meeting many many makers!
In Poland upholstery is a generational occupation and our workshop partners are a family business run by two brothers. They inherited the business from their father, who is still in every day. He founded the business as a steelworks, with the brothers adding the upholstery side of the business when they took over.
On our first visit we were led through to a room with three oversized leather sofas and a large coffee table laden with delicious Polish chocolates.
Insatiably curious, I was soon interviewing (borderline interrogating) the family about the production process, how they planned production and how the sofas traveled on their lifecycle around the factory, being stamped and signed off at various stages.
Handmade and bespoke
All Love Your Home furniture is handmade and bespoke. In the Polish workshops our craftspeople collaborators create just as obsessively as you imagine. It is an excellent place to bring our very British designs into the world.
