I'm fascinated by two things...
...new imaginative forms and the inspiration behind them. How the emotion in a piece of music can result in a radical sculpture. How reflecting on historical courage and hope can translate into sublime architectural details. How what's noticed in untamed nature can shape the objects that in turn shape how we live.
And so...
...from the first store in Shoreditch, from our 17th century Surrey barn, from the studios of our many collaborators, the designs and articles of pleasure that emerge from Love Your Home each have rich mood boards of influences at their beginning.
It won’t surprise you to know...
...that all the work we create is handmade and bespoke. Workshops of artists and craftspeople creating just as obsessively as you imagine.
Openness to influence means a lot of looking at the Earth and all it offers. I can never do this without reflecting on how all of us are failing to live as lightly as we should
Consequently...
...we make a lot of bold design decisions. From our plastic free protective packaging to our use of sustainable alpaca hair stuffing. And because I believe in setting new standards, I make sure none of the additional costs for our sustainable actions are ever passed on to you.
Over time... ...I’ve come to realise that creating furniture, nourishing a community of customers, and finding better ways of living all come from the same place
