Love Your Home - Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to products and services supplied by LYHFL Ltd trading as Love Your Home ("Love Your Home", "LYH", "we", "us" or "our").

1. About us

Love Your Home is a trading style of LYHFL Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08643440, with registered office at 14 Bank Chambers, 25 Jermyn Street, London, SW1Y 6HR.

LYHFL Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for consumer credit broking under FRN 779804.

2. These Terms & Your Order

2.1 These Terms apply to every order placed with us and form part of the contract between you and LYH.

2.2 An order is accepted when we issue a Sales Invoice or written order confirmation. Until then, we may decline an order for a legitimate reason.

2.3 You are responsible for checking your Sales Invoice promptly after receiving it and confirming that all details are correct, including dimensions, fabric, colour, finish, configuration, quantity and delivery address. We recommend that you notify us of any errors or requested amendments within 48 hours of placing your order.

2.4 We will endeavour to accommodate requested amendments, but this will depend on the stage of production and the nature of the change. Once a Product has entered production, changes or cancellation may no longer be possible or may incur reasonable costs already incurred by us. Any amendment is only effective once confirmed by us in writing.

2.5 We may cancel an order before delivery where we are unable to fulfil it, including because a Product or material becomes unavailable, a material pricing or specification error has occurred, or the Product does not meet our quality standards. If we cancel an order for this reason after you have paid, we will refund amounts paid for the affected Product.

3. Definitions

Standard Product means a Product available in the standard sizes, fabrics and configurations shown on our Website and not otherwise classified as Bespoke, Clearance, Ex-display or Customer Own Material. Most of our Standard Products are Made-to-Order as defined below.

Made-to-Order Product means a Product manufactured to order using the standard customisation options available on our Website.

Bespoke Product means a Product made or personalised to your specific requirements outside our standard range or standard customisation options. This includes changes to dimensions, finish, stitching, piping, cushion pads, fabric combinations, upholstery or other specifications, and Products made using Customer Own Material.

Customer Own Material (COM) means fabric supplied by you, specified by you which is not part of our standard range, or sourced by us specifically at your request.

Clearance and Ex-display Products means Products offered at a reduced price, including showroom, warehouse or clearance stock, cancelled orders, discontinued Products, refurbished Products, remnants, seconds or Products with identified imperfections.

In-stock Product means a ready-made Product held in our UK warehouse.

Product means any furniture or other item supplied by us, including sofas, sofa beds, armchairs, beds, footstools, cushions and mattresses.

4. Products & Specifications

4.1 Products are subject to availability. Any availability or delivery date stated on our Website or otherwise provided is an estimate unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.

4.2 Our Products are handmade and dimensions may vary. We allow a commercial tolerance of up to 4cm from stated dimensions. You are responsible for ensuring that the Product will fit your property and is suitable for your intended use.

4.3 You are responsible for selecting a fabric, colour and finish appropriate for your intended use. We strongly recommend ordering physical fabric samples before placing an order.

4.4 Fabric samples and Website images are indicative only. Colour, texture and appearance may vary between samples, batches and finished Products.

4.5 Natural characteristics, including variations in colour, grain, texture, markings and finish, are inherent to materials such as timber and leather and are not necessarily defects.

4.6 Upholstered Products may display natural movement, undulations, creasing or variation resulting from their construction and filling. These characteristics are not necessarily defects.

4.7 We will endeavour to pattern-match fabrics where appropriate but cannot guarantee an exact match.

4.8 Product specifications may be changed for future orders where necessary to improve our range, provided this does not materially alter an accepted order.

4.9 We may make reasonable changes to a Product's specification where necessary to comply with applicable laws or regulatory requirements, improve quality, reflect changes in materials or manufacturing processes, or where a particular component or material becomes unavailable.

4.10 We will not make a material change to an accepted order without notifying you. If a proposed change materially affects the Product you have ordered, you may contact us to discuss your options. Where required by law, you may end the contract and receive a refund of any amounts paid for the affected Product.

4.11 Beds and mattresses are sold separately unless expressly stated otherwise.

4.12 The 1600N gas struts fitted to our Super King and King storage beds are designed to support mattresses up to 96kg. The 1200N gas struts fitted to double and single storage beds are designed to support mattresses up to 68kg. A heavier mattress may affect the ability of the struts to hold the bed open.

4.13 Leather Products are treated as Bespoke Products and are excluded from our voluntary change-of-mind returns policy.

5. Fabrics & Materials

5.1 Natural and woven fabrics may vary between batches, particularly in colour and texture. Where requested in writing at the time of order, we can provide a batch cutting where available.

5.2 We will endeavour to manufacture Products from the same fabric batch within an order but cannot guarantee that subsequent orders will match a previous order.

5.3 Fabric may fade or discolour through exposure to sunlight, including indirect sunlight. This is an inherent characteristic of upholstered furniture.

5.4 Removable covers should be professionally cleaned in accordance with the Product care instructions.

5.5 Timber is a natural material and variations in grain and colour should be expected.

5.6 Where a fabric is described as stain-resistant, spill-resistant, family-friendly, performance, easy-clean or similar, this describes a characteristic or treatment intended to reduce the absorption or impact of certain spills. It does not make the fabric waterproof, stain-proof or immune to damage.

5.7 Performance may vary depending on the substance, quantity, duration of contact, cleaning method and general use, and may reduce over time.

5.8 Where we supply fabric by the metre, you are responsible for checking the fabric, colour and quantity before cutting or otherwise using it.

5.9 Once fabric has been cut, altered, treated or used, it cannot be returned unless it is faulty or otherwise not in accordance with the contract.

6. Customer Own Material

6.1 We may refuse to use any Customer Own Material that we reasonably consider unsuitable for upholstery or otherwise unsuitable for the intended Product.

6.2 You are responsible for ensuring that Customer Own Material is suitable, safe and, where required, appropriately fire-retardant and compliant with applicable legislation.

6.3 We are not responsible for defects, damage or failure arising from the quality, suitability, treatment or performance of Customer Own Material.

6.4 We may cut, sew, work on and otherwise handle Customer Own Material as reasonably required to manufacture the Product. Unless you request the return of surplus material in writing when placing your order, we may dispose of or retain it.

6.5 We do not offer our Guardsman Protection Plan on Products upholstered in Customer Own Material.

6.6 Customer Own Material Products are Bespoke Products and cannot normally be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.

6.7 Where we agree, at our discretion, to accept the return of a Customer Own Material Product as a goodwill gesture, we may deduct our reasonable costs incurred in connection with materials, manufacture, handling, collection, storage and resale.

7. Prices & Promotions

7.1 Unless stated otherwise, prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.

7.2 Quotations are valid for 28 days unless a different period is stated.

7.3 Prices shown on Product pages may represent starting prices before selection of size, fabric, finish, legs or other options.

7.4 Clearance and Ex-display Products cannot be combined with other promotional discounts unless expressly stated.

7.5 Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers cannot be combined.

7.6 Promotional prices apply only during the stated promotional period and cannot normally be retrospectively applied to previous orders.

7.7 Where a promotional discount, bundle saving or other offer depends on purchasing specified Products together, cancelling or returning part of the order may mean that the promotional saving no longer applies. We may deduct the resulting difference from any refund or require payment of the balance.

7.8 For deliveries outside the UK, any applicable duties, taxes or charges arising in the destination country are your responsibility.

8. Payment & Finance

8.1 Standard and Bespoke Products must be paid for in full before production begins unless otherwise agreed.

8.2 Available Now, Clearance and Ex-display Products must be paid for in full when ordered.

8.3 We accept the payment methods shown on our Website.

8.4 Where available, eligible UK residents aged 18 or over may apply for Interest Free Credit ("IFC") through our finance provider, Novuna, a trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC. Finance is subject to status, eligibility, a minimum order value of £1,000 and approval by the finance provider.

8.5 The finance agreement is a separate agreement between you and the finance provider. You should read its terms carefully before entering into it.

8.6 Any deposit required under your finance agreement must be paid when due. Delayed payment may delay delivery.

8.7 IFC repayments commence in accordance with the finance agreement following delivery and any applicable confirmation period.

8.8 IFC is unavailable on orders receiving a discount of more than 10%, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

9. Delivery

9.1 We will provide an estimated delivery timeframe when you order. Lead times for Standard Products run from receipt of payment and are subject to fabric availability.

9.2 For Bespoke and Customer Own Material Products, lead times begin once payment has been received and, where applicable, your fabric has been received by us.

9.3 We will contact you to arrange delivery and provide a delivery date and estimated time window.

9.4 Available Now, Clearance and Ex-display Products are normally delivered within 1-3 weeks, depending on postcode and availability.

9.5 We may use third-party delivery providers.

9.6 If you need to change an agreed delivery date, please give us at least 48 hours' notice. Failure to do so may result in reasonable re-delivery or other costs reasonably incurred by us.

9.7 If you cannot accept delivery within 14 calendar days of the agreed delivery date, we may charge storage at £35 per item per week.

9.8 You are responsible for ensuring that the Product can be safely and reasonably delivered to the intended room. This includes checking doorways, hallways, staircases, lifts, parking restrictions and other access requirements before ordering.

9.9 You are responsible for providing us promptly with any information reasonably necessary to fulfil your order, including accurate contact details, delivery information, access requirements and any other information we reasonably request. You must ensure that agreed access is available on the delivery date

9.10 If you do not provide information or access within a reasonable time, or provide incomplete or incorrect information, and this prevents or delays us from fulfilling the order, we may charge reasonable costs incurred as a result, including additional delivery, specialist access or storage costs. We will not be responsible for delay or non-delivery to the extent caused by your failure to provide the information or access required.

9.11 Delivery is subject to adequate and safe access and our delivery team's assessment of health and safety. We may refuse or abort delivery where access presents an unreasonable risk to our personnel, the Product or your property.

9.12 You must ensure that the delivery route and destination are reasonably clear and safe. Children and pets should be kept away from the delivery area, and valuables, fragile items and floor coverings should be removed or protected as appropriate.

9.13 Where we offer or carry out an access check, this is provided as guidance only and does not transfer responsibility for ensuring that the Product can be safely delivered into or positioned within your property. You remain responsible for the accuracy of any measurements or information you provide.

9.14 Once the Product has been successfully delivered and placed in the agreed room, our delivery service is complete. We are not responsible for damage or other issues arising from subsequent movement, relocation or attempted movement of the Product by you or a third party.

9.15 Where an alternative access method is proposed, including temporary removal of components or the use of a specialist third party, we will explain the proposed method and obtain your agreement before proceeding. Any additional charges will be confirmed in advance.

9.16 We are not responsible for removing existing furniture or other property unless this service has been expressly agreed in advance.

9.17 Where we have agreed to remove existing furniture, it must be reasonably clean, accessible and suitable for safe removal. We may refuse removal where it presents a health and safety risk or cannot be safely dismantled or moved.

9.18 Our delivery team will normally unwrap the Product so that you can inspect it upon delivery.

9.19 You should inspect the Product at the time of delivery and notify our delivery team of any visible damage or obvious issue. You may be asked to sign a delivery record confirming receipt and, where applicable, the condition of the Product.

9.20 If you request that the Product remains wrapped, you accept that you may not be able to identify visible issues at delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights.

9.21 If our delivery team causes damage to a Product or your property, please notify us as soon as reasonably practicable, providing photographs and relevant details where possible.

9.22 Where you independently arrange a carrier that we have not offered as an option, risk passes to you when the Product is delivered to that carrier, to the extent permitted by law.

9.23 If a delivery cannot be completed because you are unavailable, access is inadequate, or you have not complied with the delivery requirements in these Terms, we may charge reasonable costs incurred in arranging a further delivery, together with any applicable storage charges.

9.24 We may require proof of identity or other reasonable evidence of authority before handing over Products, particularly where the delivery address differs from the billing address.

10. Risk & Title

10.1 For consumer purchases, Products remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession, or the physical possession of a person you have identified to take delivery on your behalf, except where you independently commission a carrier that we have not offered as an option.

10.2 For business purchases, risk passes in accordance with the terms agreed with you and, unless otherwise agreed, when the Product is delivered to you or your nominated carrier.

10.3 Ownership of the Products passes to you only when we have received payment in full of all sums due in respect of those Products, including applicable delivery, storage or other agreed charges.

10.4 Nothing in this section affects any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

11. Delivery Outside UK Mainland

11.1 We may, at our discretion, accept orders for delivery outside the UK Mainland.

11.2 We may deliver to a UK mainland port or onward carrier nominated by you, or allow collection from our warehouse.

11.3 Where you arrange onward transportation, you are responsible for the carrier, customs requirements, import duties, taxes, licences, permits and compliance with the laws of the destination country.

11.4 Products transported outside the UK may require customs or other clearances. You are responsible for obtaining any required permissions and paying associated charges.

11.5 We are not responsible for damage occurring after Products have left our possession where transportation has been arranged by you or your nominated carrier.

11.6 Returns from outside the UK Mainland must be arranged and paid for by you unless the return arises from a fault or other circumstance for which we are legally responsible.

12. Cancellations, Amendments & Returns

12.1 Your statutory rights are unaffected by these Terms.

12.2 Bespoke Products and Customer Own Material Products cannot normally be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind because they have been made to your specification or personalised for you. This does not affect any statutory right you may have.

12.3 Made-to-Order Products using only our standard options may be amended or cancelled only within the period stated on your Sales Invoice or as otherwise agreed with us. Once production has commenced, amendments may not be possible.

12.4 Where a statutory cancellation right applies to a Standard Product purchased online or otherwise at a distance, you may cancel within the applicable statutory period.

12.5 In addition to any statutory rights, we offer a 14-day change-of-mind return period for eligible Standard Products following delivery.

12.6 To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the Standard Product must be unused, undamaged and in a saleable condition. We may make a reasonable deduction for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the Product.

12.7 We will arrange collection of eligible returns for a £90 collection charge, unless the return is required because the Product is faulty, damaged or otherwise not in accordance with the contract.

12.8 Available Now and Ex-display Products may be returned within 7 days of delivery, subject to being returned in saleable condition and payment of the applicable £90 collection/restocking charge, unless statutory rights provide otherwise.

12.9 Clearance and Ex-display Products may have been displayed, handled, previously ordered, refurbished, discontinued or otherwise used and may show signs of this. Any material imperfections known to us will be disclosed before purchase.

12.10 Where you purchase a Clearance or Ex-display Product in person, you will have a reasonable opportunity to inspect the Product before purchase. Imperfections that are disclosed to you or that were reasonably apparent upon inspection will not subsequently constitute a defect.

12.11 Where you purchase a Clearance or Ex-display Product online or otherwise at a distance, your statutory rights, including any applicable cancellation rights, remain unaffected.

12.12 Products ready for delivery, held in storage at your request, are not eligible for return under our voluntary change-of-mind returns policy.

12.13 Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method and processed within 10 working days, subject to any applicable statutory requirements and payment-provider processing times.

12.14 We reserve the right to decline future orders where we reasonably believe that a customer is repeatedly or deliberately misusing our cancellation, returns or promotional policies, including through fraudulent, dishonest or otherwise abusive behaviour. We will not use this provision to restrict or prevent the exercise of any statutory right.

13. Faulty or Damaged Products

13.1 If a Product arrives damaged or you believe it is faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable with details and photographs where possible.

13.2 We may inspect, repair, replace or otherwise remedy the Product as appropriate and in accordance with your statutory rights.

13.3 We will not require you to bear the cost of a remedy where applicable law requires us to do so.

14. Guarantees

14.1 Subject to these Terms, our Products carry a lifetime Guarantee on the frame and construction against defects in materials and workmanship.

14.2 "Lifetime" means the reasonable expected service life of the original Product when used for normal domestic purposes and does not refer to the lifetime of the purchaser.

14.3 Cushion fillings, coverings and upholstery carry a one-year Guarantee from delivery.

14.4 Our voluntary Guarantees do not apply to Clearance or Ex-display Products.

14.5 Our Guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accidental damage, failure to follow care instructions, unreasonable exposure to water or weather, fire, smoke, infestation, theft, corrosion, sunlight-related fading or damage caused by a third party.

14.6 Our Guarantees do not cover defects or failures caused by Customer Own Material or other materials supplied by you or a third party.

14.7 We cannot accept responsibility for changes in appearance, colour, texture, performance or defects resulting from any treatment, alteration, cleaning process, chemical, stain protection, flame-retardant treatment or other processing applied to a Product after delivery unless the treatment has been expressly approved by us in writing.

14.8 A Guarantee may be invalidated where a Product or mechanism has been modified, repaired or tampered with without our prior written approval, except where such restriction would be unlawful.

14.9 Our Guarantees apply only to Products sold and retained in Mainland UK and used for private, non-commercial purposes.

14.10 To make a claim under our voluntary Guarantee, you may be asked to provide reasonable proof of purchase and information about the Product, including photographs where appropriate.

14.11 Where a defect is covered by our Guarantee, we will normally seek to repair the Product. If repair is not reasonably possible, we may provide an equivalent replacement. If the original Product is no longer available, we may offer a suitable alternative.

14.12 If you choose a replacement of greater value, you will be responsible for the difference in price. Where an alternative is of lower value, any refund will be dealt with in accordance with your statutory rights and the circumstances of the claim.

14.13 Where neither repair nor replacement is reasonably possible, we may provide an appropriate refund.

14.14 Our Guarantees are personal to the original purchaser and are not transferable.

14.15 These Guarantees are in addition to, and do not affect, your statutory rights.

15. Business & Commercial Customers

15.1 These Terms apply to both consumers and business customers.

15.2 A consumer is an individual purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

15.3 Where you purchase wholly or mainly for business or commercial purposes, you are not a consumer and the consumer-specific provisions of these Terms will not apply except where required by law.

15.4 Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, our Products and voluntary Guarantees are intended for private domestic use and do not cover commercial, rental, hospitality, contract or other non-domestic use.

15.5 Where Products are supplied for commercial or contract use, any agreed specification, Guarantee, delivery arrangements and liability provisions may be set out separately in your Sales Invoice or other written agreement.

16. Our Liability

16.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights in relation to the Products.

16.2 Subject to clause 16.1, we are responsible for losses that are reasonably foreseeable and arise directly from our breach of these Terms or our negligence.

16.3 We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by misuse, failure to follow care instructions, unsuitable materials supplied by you, inaccurate information or measurements supplied by you, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

16.4 Subject to clause 16.1, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue or loss of anticipated savings.

16.5 Nothing in these Terms affects any remedy available to you under applicable consumer law.

17. Events Outside Our Control

17.1 We will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including shortages of materials or fabrics, supplier failure, transport disruption, strikes, industrial disputes, severe weather, fire, flood, government action, war, civil unrest, epidemic or other events outside our reasonable control.

17.2 Where such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the delay and keep you informed.

18. Website Purchases

18.1 We take reasonable care to ensure that Website descriptions, prices and images are accurate. However, colours displayed on screens may differ from the actual Product. We recommend ordering a physical fabric sample before purchase.

18.2 A Website order is subject to our acceptance and is not binding until we issue a Sales Invoice or order confirmation.

18.3 If a material error in a Website price or Product description is identified before acceptance, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

18.4 We reserve the right to refuse an order where we have a legitimate reason to do so, including where a Product is unavailable, a pricing or description error has occurred, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of a promotional offer.

19. Electronic Communications

19.1 You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, including by email, and that such communications may satisfy any requirement for information or notices to be provided in writing, subject to your statutory rights.

19.2 You are responsible for providing us with an accurate and accessible email address and for checking communications we send to you.

23.1 You may not transfer your rights or obligations under a Contract without our prior written consent.

23.2 We may assign, transfer or subcontract our rights or obligations under a Contract where reasonably required to operate our business, provided this does not reduce your rights under the Contract.

26.4 Any amendment to an accepted order must be agreed by us in writing.
