Serene

Composed - Tranquil - Gentle - Restful

What makes a serene home?

A serene home isn't necessarily minimalist or neutral. Serenity comes from creating an environment that feels calm, comfortable, and restorative - one that supports your daily life and reflects what brings you peace.

Layering nature and organic forms

Natural materials will give you warmth without adding visual clutter. Walnut details and linen or wool upholstery serve a dreamy combination.

Make room for curves. Organic forms naturally feel more inviting and restful than pieces with sharp, angular sihouettes, and help a room flow more gently. Our very own Hepworth range is a good place to start.

Embrace a restrained colour palette

I tend to find that rooms feel calmer when the colours are related, rather than in competition with each other. Think warm whites instead of brilliant whites. Get yourself some samples of soft stone, oat, mushroom or taupe shades.

Charcoal or black has its place of course, when used to add definition.

I can't emphasise enough - neutrals isn't the rule of thumb here. Just make sure you're limiting the number of colours within one space.
