A deeply private man, this home was a place of calm, sanctuary, and reflection.
It was an honour to design this new capsule collection in collaboration with Turner's House. Each piece began as sketches influenced by the unique features and historic views I found throughout this great artist's home.
Our Turner Sofa, Mallord Armchair and Sandy Footstool, each, began as sketches influenced by the lines, unique features, historic views and relaxed atmosphere I found throughout the house.
I hope Turner's ever-searching mind would appreciate the thought and process that we have applied to our exclusive range.
The Mallord armchair
When William Turner built his peaceful country house in Twickenham he brought his 'Old Dad' (as he called him) along with him. Old Dad took charge of Turner's business affairs and even lent a hand in the studio. Can you picture how proud of his son he must have been as he sat, relaxed and comfortable, in his favourite armchair each evening?
