Introducing Our Fabrics

Over 80 house fabrics or choose your own designer fabric!

We offer our furniture in a wide range of fabrics and finishes. We summarise the different characteristics below and give some guidance on cleaning and washing to help you keep our designs looking their best in your home.

Where fabrics below are machine washable, our advice is to wash on a low spin cycle and then carefully place the covers back on the cushion pads whilst they are still damp. They can then be left to air dry and if needed finished off with a steam iron. This will help keep them looking just like new.

House Cotton:

House Cotton is a very high quality fabric, made from 100% heavy weight cotton offering a great range of colours as well as value for money. House Cotton gives clean unfussy lines to our Sofas, Beds and Sofa Beds and is durable, with a 40,000 Martindale Rub Test.

Removable covers can simply be washed in the washing machine at 40 degrees. For upholstered beds and fixed sofa covers, you can either gently sponge the fabric down with warm soapy water (rubbing is best avoided at it will elongate the fibres) or use a professional carpet /upholstery cleaning company to wash as required.

House Mix:

House Mix is our best selling fabric range. It has a mixed weave made from 48% Viscose, 24% Polyester, 20% Cotton and 8% Linen. This blend gives fantastic durability and wear, being far more resistant to staining than a plain fabric and with a 40,000 Martindale Rub Test. House Mix tailors well on all our furniture, giving a tighter more contemporary look and feel whilst still being soft to touch.

For removable covers, cleaning couldn't be easier as they are machine washable using a standard 40 degrees cycle.

Moleskin Velvet:

Moleskin Velvet is all about touch and feel, but is also exceptionally hard wearing. Made from Polyester with a Martindale Rub test of 75,000, it has a look and nap direction very similar to a suede. This means that hand brushing leaves shadows in the fabric where it is done against the grain. Moleskin Velvet is most popular for our Upholstered Beds, but is also widely

enjoyed on our Sofas and Sofa Beds too. The texture of the fabric means that removable covers need to be dry cleaned, whilst for fixed covers, stains can be gently addressed with soapy water and a soft sponge.

Florentine:

Florentine is a tactile chenille that definitely emphasises the "soft" in soft furnishings. It is velvety to touch, yet being made from Polyester, is durable and robust enough to be used for contract as well as domestic environments. It's high wearing character is reflected in a Martindale Rub test of 145,000. It is great for cosy furniture including for cushions and headboards. Dry clean only.

Brushed Cotton/Linen:

This linen cotton blend is our best selling fabric with a soft and extremely luxurious feel. Made in Italy from a careful mix of 66% cotton and 34% linen, it comes in a unique choice of colours. The high linen content that emphasises the shape of the furniture, also means that the material can bleach if positioned in direct sunlight.

Loose covers can be machine washed at 30 degrees.
Martindale Rub test of 30,000.
